I have a small box that pops up on my computer screen with the java symbol in the top left hand coner, when i click it down it pops back up a few sec later.... This is what the message reads at the top of the box, one or more files appear to be invaild, this genarally caused by a corrupted installation. please try downloading and installing limewire again. if the problem presists, please visit Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent « and click the support link, thank you.
Inside the box also this is what it says, LimeWire version 4.16.6 Java version 1.6.0_04 from Sun Microsystems Inc. Windows Vista v. 6.0 on x86 Free/total memory: 31403072/33357824 com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.GUILoader$StartupFailed Exception: .\lib\hashes (The system cannot find the file specified) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.GUILoader.sanityCheck(G UILoader.java:286) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.GUILoader.load(GUILoade r.java:57) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Nativ e Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknow n Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Un known Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main.main(Main.java:44) STARTUP ERROR! Ok well so i did everthing it asked me to do and theirs nothing, nothing at all. can anyone help me with this dag on problem, because i dont have a clue to get this box from off my computer...... My limewire is the new one and i have vista, limewire on my computer works just fine and i dont have any problem with it. |

Start with this > If LimeWire Will Not Load Hope it will also be the 'finish' and the 'fix' ! I'm wondering if you have recently done an update of LW ? There are problems ! btw, I know that the title of the link doesn't exactly match what you may think is required, but the link will probably solve your problems.

i have the same issue too ....
