Try steps here Fixes for Limewire (click on blue link). However, for deleting your LW prefs for Vista, see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html

I'd recommend removing all your Java versions, then downloading the OFFLINE version and installing the newest Java version: Download Java software from Sun Microsystems. For Vista you need Java 1.6 at least
