connection problems

ok i just updated limerwire and i now when i start it up it wont let me go on internet explorer and it wont get a signal ireally dont know what to about it, i ave unistalled and re-installed and it doesnt work out of i deas can anyone help i got windows vista, oh yeah and i have got firewalls on mcaffee to not block anyting from limewire
