Default When Limewire/360share has a heart attack...?

I've downloaded 360share before (which is the parent for limewire). So far I've gotten all the updates that limewire receives in the 360share program also and it was working wonderfully.

Then one day, for no apparent reason, it locked up. The rest of my pc was fine. Now whenever i start it, it will run for about 60 seconds, then freeze and is incredibly sluggish.

Considering my specs:
Vista home edition
4gb quadcore ram
320gb harddisk
some number that deals with 4ghz processor
isp is AT&T
Norton Antivirus Sofware

I am incredibly confused as to why one day the whole thing decided to crash. I've cleared all completed downloads, double checked the firewall connections, virus scan, nothing. Even the ones that slip through the program occasionally weren't found when I used other utilities, so I know that my system is clean.

Any thoughts?

Might ought to do a Little Research before you make such a Bold Statement like that.

Unhappy

Just in case I forgot to mention it, i fall into the experienced user category. Ive been using Limewire/360share for about 4 years. Never had any issues.

Research and Knowledge:
360 share was the beta for limewire (360share was free at the time). Then the upgrades for limewire came along, which is significantly faster and more improved now I will admit. But those same patches and downloads were tested and integrated into 360share before hand. So i have a slightly different UI, but it still runs practically identical to limewire. In fact, the only difference in the UI i can find is that it says limewire in the top right corner instead of 360share.

That's the extent of my research and knowledge combined. I checked updates to make sure I haven't missed anything, and I'm up to date. I also did already go through the technical end of the forum regarding repairs and tips and etc to try and solve this. My thoughts are it could be a compatibility issue with Vista. I've tried running it compatibly with XP SP 2, and it's even worse.

(Vista is a programmer's nightmare, but a User's best friend. I like it alot. Until it does something weird like this wouldn't be the first time.)

So I'm stuck

Wow. I think I myself just had a slight heart attack.

Okay, I'm good. Wow. That...is a big suprise. I guess I better go trawling through my system to make sure it's in good shape (yay, a date with Vista *gulp). Thank you very much.

The link you put in your post didn't show blue for me. got it the second time though. Thnks
Not what I expected to hear. I do believe that I will go and download Limewire now.

Side note: See any of the Cowboys games lately? I haven't kept track of any scores;
been to busy.

Again, thanks.
