Getting spyware and virus warnings

Yes I am getting spyware and virus warnings that limeware (I am running 4.18.8 Pro and Java 1.6.0) is infected. The files infected are on my C//:program files/limeware. It is saying that the jar files are infected with a virus. I am using Trend Micro and Intelinet Smart Security 3.1.0. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Ensure that your antivirus program is fully updated with the latest virus signatures -- now do a full scan -- also download a program called Malwarebytes Anti Malware (MBAM) from here - once downloaded do an update then a full scan of your computer - download superantispyware (SAS) here -- once downloaded update it then run a full scan of your computer -- finally do a Kaspersky antivirus ONLINE scan here -- these programs are recommended on several security forums -- let us know how you get on please

Are you using Trend Micro antivirus/antispyware? Is Trend Micro telling you that you're infected, or is it only Intelinet that's giving you alerts?

Intelinet sounds like it could be a scam/rogue application... it might well be giving you false positives (ie telling you that something's nasty when it's not).

birdy is dead right (ref intel smart security)
Also Running two or more real-time anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall monitors at the same time can cause a conflict. That conflict can result in slow computer performance, error messages, crashes of the programs or other types of failure. You will very likely end up with little or no protection. I would recommend that you uninstall intel smart security and use trend micro as your antivirus protection.

Thanks for the info. it looks like I got scam again!!!
Yes both programs are upto date and yes I am getting this virus attack on both Intelinet and Trend Micro. I never got it before on Trend Micro only now after I installed and ran Intelinet.
Thanks all I will let you know how it all turns out.

I just talk with someone thru intelinet and their sayiing I do not know what I am talking about. I suppose to be getting a refund back after a little nasty argument with them.
Now I deleted all their files from my computer including in my registry (I believe). Now I have to find out how to get Trend Micro to not tell me there are viurus in limewire jar files.
This is one of 25 virurs alert I got from a scan with Trend Micro there all the same except the location after limewire in program files.

FileTypeWindow.Class
(Limewire.jar)
C:\Program files\limewire\lib\
item:
TROJ_Generic.DIT

Help if you have any for me
Thanks

Thanks Birdy
Thanks Skyliner
I delete Java and limewire and reinstalled both.
I did all three Malwarebytes, superantispyware and Kaspersky and I got no errors on three.
Now I run Trend Micro and it still says I have infected files in limewire. It the same ones that are list in the above post. Also it is in these files where the infection is coming from.

Compressed files
limewire\lib\hsqlb5.jar
&
limewire\lib\limewire.jar

I think it has something to do with running Intelinet because I never had this warning before...

I might have to get rid of Trend Micro now too?

Thanks

Please cfm that when you downloaded those programs you updated them before running a full scan (MBAM, SAS) -- click on this link (JOTTI VIRUSSCAN) -- now click on browse -- scroll down to the filename that has the virus on it -- click on submit and await the answer (it will be scanned by multiple antivirus programs) By the way -- when you uninstalled "Intelinet Smart Security" check in your programs to ensure that the folder is still not sitting in there -- if so delete it

Skyliner Yes after I downloaded them I updated them before running them

Yes I also check for file on Intelinet on my computer and none. I also went into the registry and deleted everything pertaining to Intelinet.
I went into jotti and scaned both files and nothing was found.
Someone do me a favor go into your c drive and kick on this file and see if you get and error.

C\:program files\limewire\lib\limewire.jar

It will be under the limewire icon.

Thanks llubkle
