| Ok, so I'm using the non-upgraded limewire on both my laptop and my desktop (right next to each other) and both use Vista 64 bit. Laptop has Norton and desktop has Mcafee. Downloaded movies on the laptop do just fine, but when I download on my desktop I am unable to view the video, WMP just plays music. Anybody else run across this problem before? If so, which setting do I need to change to fix this? Thanks. |

| Codec issue most likely. You perhaps forgot to update/install the same codecs for the desktop. Lack of video or lack of audio in a video almost always means a codec problem. See CODECs list for Movies/Audio/ Alternate players . BTW we recommend getting VLC player on this forum. It has in-built codecs & is very reliable. Even if only as a back-up player. |
