Dropping internet connection right after signing in to Limewire?

I have no issues at all connecting to Limewire. My problem is that once I do connect,my internet connection drops. Has anyone else had any issues with dropping their internet connection once signing on to Limewire? Any ideas what I need to do to fix this? I am using Windows Vista Home Premium.
