Limewire Freezes At First Startup After Install
 
It won't let me go past the first screen of configurations it just freezes and when i click continue it wont respond!
Version 5.5.13

Try this Reinstallation Technique, note the first LW offline download link is not functioning presently, use the 2nd one. ;)
Make sure you delete the LW preferences also. :)

You've tried deleting your LW preferences folder, changing compatibility mode & setting both Java & LW each to Run as Administrator? :) Fixes for Limewire (click on blue link). . Try setting up a test account on computer & see if LW works there. ;)

Have a look at this sample image (ie: right-click the LW program or shortcut & choose Properties & then Compatibility tab from the menu):

You may need to swap between compatibility options & see if 'any' one of them works for you. :) Do this whilst LW is CLOSED.

As for setting up a test account, if you are not sure how to do, let us know. ;)

Okay it loads but now it won't let me get past the configs!
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 32 and Limewire Basic 5.5.13
Please help me!
Also don't know how to set up a test account!

Go to Control Panel > User accounts > create a new account

Have you tried changing compatibility mode? Keep trying different options, there are many for Windows 7. :) Sorry this has been such a nuisance for you.
