Limewire refuses to run.

I've had my Limewire for awhile and it worked fine. Then I got to college and stopped using it because it would've been blocked anyway. It's been about two months since I last used it, and now all of a sudden it won't run.

When you click the icon, the little spiderman splash scren comes up, but there's never a progress bar. It blinks once, then disappears a second later, not loading at all. I already tried the reinstallation process already mentioned here twice. I did update, but that didn't work either. However, it seems to work fine on our old Windows XP.

Not sure how this could have happened just from not using the thing...

Yeah, im having this same problem. My itunes is doing the same thing. It just happened over night!

Check what security programs you have on your computer. There are some brands that will prevent LW opening. You would need to put LW on their exception list.

I guess you could also try changing LW's compatibility mode for Windows 7, there's lots of different ones to try, one might work.

Also, update to the most recent iTunes, the first iTunes v.10.0 was buggy.
