Windows ME ... sort for Mestake not Mellenium Edition .... is possible the buggiest product ever released. There could be a litany of reasons for the problems that this thread has expressed with their machines .... the above microsoft knowledge base articles should help ya'll out.

The first thing I would do is d/l the latest software updates for my OS from microsoft.
that's going to be a long and boring process if you've never done it.

Secondly, I'd update to IE 6.0, wether you use it or not, your os does. Personally I prefer Netscape but that's me.
