Icon in Taskbar

1)Every time I quit limewire a new limewire icon appears in the taskbar. How can I stop this?

You aren't quitting LimeWire - you are minimising it to the tray. You can then quit LimeWire by right-clicking on the tray icon and selecting exit.

If you want LimeWire to quit immediately then go to Tools|Options|Shutdown and select "Shutdown Immediately".

Am I leaving an open connection to the internet in any way after I close my internet connection if I keep the Limewire-minimize to the system tray setting? What if I have unfinished transfers? What if I close Limewire but don't click disconnect first?
