Unhappy can't find files

I have used several versions of limewire, but since I upgraded to 2.8.6 I can't find any of the files I download.

Lightbulb

Go to Tools>Options>Saving... You will see the directory(folder) LimeWire is using to store your downloads. You can also specify a different save folder here, if you desire.

Unhappy still can't find files

my existing files transferred over to my library when when I upgraded, but when I successfully complete new downloads I can't find them. The default save is set to shared files. When I when I repeat a new download I'm asked if I want to replace the file I can't even find.

THANKS for your help!

Hello,

Your existing files are in one directory and your new downloads are being routed to another.

Try as Rutro suggested - go to - "tools, options, saving" - and see what directory Limewire is using for current downloads.

That will show you where your downloads are going. If you want to route them to another directory you can do so here.

If that doesn't work for you go to the start menu, select search and enter the name of a file you just downloaded. When the computer locates the file note the directory it is in.

Good Luck,

Norm
