![]() Hi, I am running LimeWire v2.8.6 on Windows 2000, using JRE v1.4.1 The LimeWire GUI comes up no problems, and connects to the network. After about two minutes, the memory usage of javaw.exe begins climbing rapidly until it maxes out the virtual memory on my machine. I have tried using JRE v1.3 and 1.4.0, with no change. The LimeWire GUI appears to run correctly at all times; I can exit the program normally even while the memory usage is climbing. My servent is acting as a leaf; it's not up long enough to become an ultrapeer. I have 384Mb of system RAM, and a total memory limit of 760Mb. Update: The same problem happens on a different machine running WinXP Pro. It doesn't seem to make any difference whether I share zero files, one or many. Any suggestions would be appreciated. - FK Last edited by Rhubarb; February 27th, 2003 at 03:45 PM. |
