hi. every time i use limewire, my computer freezes in the process of shutting down...and i wind up having to turn the power off manually.

i'm using windows 98.

any suggestions?

Win 98 likes freezing on shutting down, so are you sure you can point this to LW?

There is a patch from M$ available (called something like 4756us8.exe) to help on shutdown problem. Try to find it with M$, or send me a PM, I can send it.

Furthermore, there was a little script in a german computer magazine to shut down, which is simple but works well. I attach it, just rename it to .bat

yes, i'm sure it's lw. i've tested it many times and it only happens after i've had lw open.
