Kirby and Christopher....
YOU GUYS ARE STUDS! I was getting booted from LimeWire every 5 minutes like everyone else on this thread. I took your advice and uninstalled BearShare...then went into Add/Delete programs in Windows Control Panel and deleted the NEWDOTNET program. Been running Limewire for 30 minutes now...NO MORE ERROR MESSAGES. I didnt even have to use ad-aware...but thanx for that info too.thanx again. |

Kirby,
Don't care what others say, your suggestion worked for me! Remove the adware (especially the one installed by bearshare, and limewire works perfectly.... Thanks again! |

Kirby! I was the one that said spyware (if indeed that's what it was) had nothing to do with it and boy is my face red! My version of Ad-Aware didn't detect it, but sure as hell, there it was. After removing it through the control panel, LimeWire works fine now.
I don't recall installing this program! Where did it come from? My most sincere and humble apologies to you, Kirby - and thanks! |

I couldnt get limewire to run for more than a few seconds before crashing....just went through all your messages and uninstalled New.net.... Cool! Thanks. Kirby here deserves a BIG pat on the back. |

Praise Be To Allah!!!!!!
At first Limewire worked great, but an error message "limewire has caused an illegal...." popped up every time I closed it. Then it happened after about 1 minute of being logged on. I used Kirby's idea about deleting the new.net using ad-aware. I've been logged on for about an hour now with no probs. Kirby, I don't know how you came up with your solution, but thanks for the info. |
