every time I log in to Limewire, it says "This program has performed an illegal function and will be shut down." Is ther a bug here or is my computer messed up?

Really, you could of saved energy and read the solution that's already there... but that sat aside, a spyware program called new.net is causing all the problems. To fix it, either use windows add/remove or ad-aware, depending on what works. If you use ad-aware, it will take two passes to remove all the components. Ad-aware will also get all the other spyware of your computer.
