light first it does not mean that anyone can access your PC but anyone can access your shared folder and any media in it. You can limit what they take by chooseing what you put and keep in your shared folder. As for viruses if something looks suspicious don't download it, but if you have an anti-virus(norton is the best) you can scan it. You should aviod suspicious media and files that could get you in trouble(porn, hacking tools,ect.). I hope this answers your questions. deepblue
