 This is happening because you are trying to use the shortcut for your old version of LimeWire. It is recommended that you uninstall your old version before installing LimeWire 1.6. You can, however, do it after 1.6 is installed as well. You should see two LimeWire's listed in Add/Remove programs. Try uninstalling the larger of the two, or just uninstalling both and reinstalling 1.6. If the one you try uninstalling is the InstallAnywhere uninstaller, then you are uninstalling the correct one.  |
