Wierd File Interactions: Limewire + iTunes + iDisk = lost files?

Hello!

I use both a Mac (OSX jag) and a PC (windows XP).

On the PC I have previously downloaded mp3 files with Limewire and imported them to iTunes for XP- no problem.

With some of the songs, I have deleted the original from my Limewire shared file and they continued to play in iTunes- no problem.

This weekend I needed to transfer some file from the PC to the Mac so I downloaded and installed the iDisk utility for XP- PROBLEM!!

Now NONE of the mp3 files I've DLed with Limewire will play. They still appear in the iTunes libarary, but when I try to play them I get an error message that says something to the effect of-

"cannot play XYZ.mp3 because original file cannot be found. do you want to search for XYZ.mp3?"

Searches come up with nothing.

Can anybody help me out here?
