When I open LimeWire, instead of seeing file, tools, library, search, etc., ............, all I see are boxes. What have I done and how can I correct it?

Thou hast dlded the International version of Limewire and have set it to a Language that your comp cannot read because of different characters (maybe you set it in Japanese or Chinese...). Trash Limewire's prefs, redld it and reinstall. Make sure you choose the right language. Otherwise, just dld the English-only version.
Unless you wanna try blindly looking for the Language Select option.

If you want to correct the problem blind go to the top bar in Limewire, take the second choice from the left, from the drop down bar take the last selection and then the first selection.

There are some advantages on some systems to run the international version.

Norm
