![]() I can not install LimeWire on my PC. I start the downloaded exe file and what happens? it shows me a nice message: "Choose another place to install..." (on german because my system is german i guess). Then i choose another location, but the same happens again. i really hoped to find a good gnutella client, i wasn't happy with BearShare, but how can i be happy with LimeWire if i can't even install it? |

![]() Phil- It should only give you that message if it cannot find enough room on your hard drive to complete the installation. Are you sure you have enough room on your hard drive? If your hard drive is partitioned, are you sure you have enough room on that partition? If you have multiple partitions, and the one you downloaded to is getting full, I would suggest moving the installer to the other partition before starting the install. This is because the installer creates temporary files on whatever partition it is currently in regardless of where you choose to install the actual program, creating a potential problem if your partition is getting full. I hope this helps. ------------------ Adam Fisk Lime Peer Technologies Developer |

![]() I've installed Lime and nothing happened ! The installer finished it's job and after that lime wasn't on my system. I can find it's installation path which is C:\Program Files\LimeWire but there isn't any executable file in there. The only exe files are under C:\Program Files\LimeWire\jre\bin directory but they don't seem to function. They are dos applications. Lime wasn't in the add/remove programs list. Please help ! |

![]() Apologies for all of the complications here. As I've mentioned on a couple of more recent threads, we will be coming out with a new "maintenance" release over the next several weeks that will include a completely new installer for Windows. The new installer should address all of these issues, so I would suggest checking back on our web site periodically over the next several weeks to look for the new version. It will probably be LimeWire 1.4c, and it will also include the newest version of Java that should improve LimeWire's performance significantly. Once again, we apologize for the problems that everyone has experienced with the current version. ------------------ Adam Fisk Lime Peer Technologies Developer |
