Makes your comp shut down? Did this ever happen before using LW? Do you use an AMD processor? Have a browse of this thread (click link.)
What type of firewalls & antivirus do you use? Have you updated these? Do an online system check here: http://pcpitstop.com/ & also you can do an Online parasite check & also an Online security check

Try unistalling (completely. That means also manually deleting the prefs folder) and redownloading the English only version.
