limewire error

when i try to start the program, it just hangs there. i get the "Welcome" screen but its all blank, no text on it other than the title. its all empty and i cant start the program. i have latest drivers and java [since i also use azureus]


what gives?

There are two installers: the one for the english only version and the one for the International version.
Try them both.

You can also try updating your installshield engines. If you don't you may find problems installing other newer programs. See: http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108158
& choose your version of Installshield. Update your java to Java 1.4.2 'Then' try the english installer again. At least with the english installer you can update the java it uses which is very, very important. Whereas the international installer forces LW to use Java 1.3 only which is installed along at the same time. Also if you install Java 1st english installer of LW won't install the minimum package of Java 1.3.
