| I wanted to post a possible solution to people upgrading from 1.4 to 1.6 that are using Windows 95. I did this on my computer and the new version wouldn't work. It kept giving me a cannot connect to port error message. So I uninstalled Limewire, and started to download Audiogalaxy, and something in their download kicked out an automatic response that said I needed and update from for what I believe was called Winsock 32 . It gave me a link straight to the correct Microsoft location. After I did that I finished installing Audiogalaxy, but didn't like it. But when I reinstalled Limewire, then it worked fine. So this would be worth checking into for anyone using Windows 95, that can't get the new version to work. |
