Get the Kazaa Lite codec pack. I have it and i haven't needed any codecs since. If you want i can send it you over AIM?

i hope this not the same question. but all my songs from lime wire are protected by wma, itunes will not let me convert these songs. pls help me

If the wma songs are protected by licencing then to my knowledge there's not much that can be done. But as far as converting wma to other formats there's plenty of utilities that can do that depending whether you use mac/windows/linux. Do a google search for 'wma conversion'. Else I can suggest a few. Better still don't downld wma or wmv files. Go for mp3, etc. or mpeg/mpg/avi/divx/3ivx/etc.

It seems that most knowledgeable LW users keep away from WMV files, as they can contain all sorts of nasties. Nevertheless, I think that if you are cautious and follow these simple rules you should be OK,

a) Stay away from files below a certain size (anything below 10 – 12 MB).

b) Always check them with your antivirus application before use.

c) Do not play them while connected to the internet.

d) Always delete them if they insist on an internet connection.
