Scroll bar problems

I know this has been discussed a lot but the conclusion ussually seems to be a display driver problem however:

When I try to use any of the scroll bars in limewire, the screen keep going grey for half a second which is really annoying.

When it does this, the title bar (limewire/maximise/minimise etc) is still there, as is the start menu button and taskbar at the bottom so I cant see how this can be a display problem, more a problem with Limewire.

Java fault?
Skin fault?
