windows ok but limewire slows down

ok i had limewire 4.2.6 long ago and one day i clicked on it and it didn't work it just didn't start so i uninstalled it and downloaded limewire 4.8.1 and its slow as hell just limewire because wen i play a music file on limewire it stutters and skips and when i play a music file on musicmatch its ok i think its java but wen i go to task manager process tab there is no javawa.exe or something like when i use azures i have full spyware/adware free com and no viruses i ues pc-cillin 2005 to detect spyware, adware, and viruses. any suggestions please help i want to use limewire but i cant i will try downgrading to java 1.4 and i will reply thnx in advance
