PC Inspector error A couple of songs and movies were deleted from my library . I got PC Inspector to try to recover the files but I keep getting an error message. Is it possible that I get the error message because PC Inspector as been installed on the same drive as the files were. I could uninstall PC Inspector but I only have one hard drive? Please help! |
If you have a 2nd drive it definitely would've been better to install it there so there was no chance of overwriting any files that were deleted. But it's too late now. I did read that sometimes it's better to try to recover the files bit by bit rather than all at once whilst using PC Inspector. |
Is it possible to download PC Inspector to a CD/DVD and run it from there? Will that stop the error message from appearing? and how would I go about trying to recover the files bit by bit? |
Interesting thought. Try it. Very best way would be to create a startup disk with PC Inspector installed on it. But that takes some skill & know-how. |
