A couple of songs and movies were deleted from my library .
I got PC Inspector to try to recover the files but I keep getting an error message. Is it possible that I get the error message because PC Inspector as been installed on the same drive as the files were. I could uninstall PC Inspector but I only have one hard drive? Please help! |

If you have a 2nd drive it definitely would've been better to install it there so there was no chance of overwriting any files that were deleted. But it's too late now. I did read that sometimes it's better to try to recover the files bit by bit rather than all at once whilst using PC Inspector.

Is it possible to download PC Inspector to a CD/DVD and run it from there? Will that stop the error message from appearing?
and how would I go about trying to recover the files bit by bit? |

Interesting thought. Try it. Very best way would be to create a startup disk with PC Inspector installed on it. But that takes some skill & know-how.
