How do you erase past searches and the history of Limewire?

In LW tools>options>view>autocomplete text ---- enable autocompletion of test fields --- uncheck the box --- click apply then okay

Also if you close and restart LW this will clear the autocomplete text also

by doing this, is there then definately no way which past searches can be found again? thanx

Search results can be closed by clicking the little red cross on the search result tab.

LW doesn't keep any record of searches b/w one session & the next.
