The problem may be the control center. Instead of using Catalyst, get the one that integrates with Control Panel. Lotsa people seem to have problems with catalyst.

I don't see why that would be the problem, I've had the same system setup for months and this limewire problem only happened 2 days ago. Before that everything was running great, including limewire. I don't know what caused it to suddenly go crazy.

I also believe this to be an ATI driver problem, and not a LimeWire problem, as I have installed and used the updated drivers and catalyst.

I have had problems with other applications I use also, which are not part of LimeWire and Java, and will not go any further as they do not pertain to LimeWire nor this forum.

Yes uninstall the catalyst, and roll back the drivers and just use the control panel and set it as explained in this thread.

If you cannot roll back the drivers then go to the ATI website and just d/l the previous drivers and control panel, and not the catylyst.
