hi,

limewire has been working perfectly on my computer but for the past two days it has been getting stuck at the "loading user interface" part of the start up. The bar is still moving back and forth though, so i know its trying to load the user interface and not just frozen...any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. Limewir has been working fine but now it just loads the status screen and it loads everything but the actually program doesn't get opened.

thats too bad, now if some one just knew how to fix it

1. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire

2. If that doesn't work then uninstall Java using the add/remove programs control panel. Then downld Java & save it to your computer (DON'T install over the net.) Then install it; get a java link from the above link.

i tried both of these when i read them in another post, any other ideas?

i just tried uninstalling bothe limewire and java runtime and i deleted that folder again and it still didnt work.

owkay i solved this problem
uninstall the java 5
and install the newest 1.4 jre version

hope this works for you guys :P
