![]() Generally blue screens (BSOD) is caused by a hardware issue such as a graphics card. Set your graphics card settings back to default to see if this helps. * Also, After opening LW wait 10 to 20 mins or longer before using. Let it settle down 1st. * Go to LW's prefs>Speed & tick disable Ultrapeer Cap. & press apply button. * Set both uplds & downlds to autoclear. * Don't use the Resume button on all incomplete files. This can have side-fx such as affect LW's connection quality. May queue your files for much much longer. This will also stress LW & your comp. If you use Resume/Find sources then just apply it to a couple or so at one time. * Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! Don't forget to configure your Norton Firewall; Configuring Norton Internet Security & disable your XP firewall as they may interfere with each other! 2 active firewalls issue |

![]() Can you give us a total desciption of your set up: 1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) 2. What firewalls you have? 3. How much ram? 4. Hard Disk space available? 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? 8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 9. What graphics card brand & model & driver version do you have? It might be wise to uninstall all your Java & re-install using 1.4.2 initially to see if this works better. But install Java from your comp. not over the net. You can find links here: Fixes for Limewire Also change your LW compatibility to win 2k. |

![]() Dear Daisyann (& LOTR) I don't have a Dell PC so I am not sure if my solution will help but I recently found that my NVIDIA video drivers had a problem co-existing with my LW Pro (currently using 4.9.11). Occasionally this conflict it would cause my PC to crash and reboot. So, even though your PC checks out perfectly, if the conflict exist between your video driver and LW then you will have crashes. The way I solved the problem was to upgrade my video drivers by downloading and installing the latest drivers from the makers website. Hope this helps UK Bob |
