Default Lost hard drive with only 2mths of limewire

So this is it.
Purchased limewire 2 months ago.
Hard drive died two days ago and can't retrive any info off the drive.
Installed new hard drive.
Trying to reinstall limewire, but they don't reconize my email address?
Has this happened to anyone else?
Has anyone gotten through this?
Any help with this matter would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks

Oh o

Other people have had a similar problem, but it turned out that they were scammed into thinking they were getting Pro by lookalike sites.

see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=28751 for some stories of how some got their money back

If the real LimeWire support site here http://sales.limewire.com/support/? doesn't recognize your email address, chances are you were scammed, because you are well within the six month limit.

hope all works out for you.

So let me get this straight..
In order to get any contact to resolve this issue is to go to my bank and dispute the issue. At that point they may contact me to take care of my problem.
In all honesty this is turning into one f----- up situation.
For $18.88 I have to jump through flaming hoops
There has to be a better way.
I hope everyone who reads this will learn from it.
Keep a copy or your bank statement close by and back up your hard drive with programs downloaded because Limewire has no tech support or customer service.

Let me make it simple:

If LimeWire sold you the Pro, then the email address you used at that time will relookup your Pro page. I just checked: it works.

If someone else sold you something that you thought was LW's Pro, there's no Pro page at LimeWire to lookup.

The link to other people's stories details what they tried to get their money back (or not).

btw, this site is just a bunch of users helping other users. You're welcome for the time it took me to dig up those links for you. Best wishes getting your problems resolved.

I appriciate the time and help you have given me with this issue. Don't take me wrong. I like the limewire program and will continue to use it. I'm just dissapointed that a simple problem becomes exploded into a time and aggravation vacuum.

BTW
When I purchase limewire I was forwarded through download.com.
