there is no uninstall file for 4.0.8, and theres nothing in add/remove files. i got the newest version but i dunno what to do with the old version, just delete it or what?

In the days of LW 4.0.x there were 2 different installers. One was called english & the other international. For the english version, using the Add/Remove progs control panel will remove it. For the international version, go to the LW program folder & you'll find an uninstaller. Open it to uninstall LW. Then you can install the new version. The new version's installer is a different type of installer again. It uses its own uninstaller. But it can also uninstall previous versions during the installation process - but will only ONLY uninstall versions of LW after LW 4.4 or later.
