Default deleting files

I made the mistake of using Windows to
delete a bunch of files from my LW Download directory. Now LW's Downloads and Saved Files libraries report that the
files are still there, although the sizes
are all zero. I tried to figure out what I could tweak in LW to delete these files
but couldn't find anything. I can't even
figure out where LW is retaining the directory information, it's certainly not the
same as the Windows directory. How
can I blow away these phantom directory
entries?

Any and all help apprecitated

HEY! There's no call to be insulting!!
I DID check out options and there's nothing there to help with this problem.

Why didn't YOU check out options before you go glibly insulting people!!

If you go to Limewire Library and find the offending folders in the shared list, and after checking they are empty select "stop Sharing". Depending on your version of Limewire be careful NOT to select delete on any folders containing files you want to keep .... or you will loose them!

It doesn't do any harm to just leave them there, but I think what I suggested should get them out of the way.

Flummoxed573

Whenever I move or delete files from my shared/saved folder using windows explorer I get the same results, LW for a little while thinks the files are still there. However, LW soon catches up and realises that the files are gone, so its not really a problem.

If you look in the shared folder, using windows explorer, there are two permanent LW files there (can't remember their names at the moment - I'm at work) and, I believe, these files keep a check on the names and number of files being shared by LW. It just takes a few additional seconds for these two (special) files to update themselves.

However, I could be totally wrong as the above is based totally on my own observations, and that one of these files is a *.dat file.

Default thanks

Thanks for the hints! I'll try them out once I get back to my
system.
