What is a DVD Decrypter? I don't believe I've ever heard of one before. What does it do?

Have a look here & look for videohelp & dvdguides links at the bottom of the 1st post here: CODECs list and alternate players for Movies They'll list the best ones, the free ones & feedback on their abilities, etc. There's also related forums if help is needed.
