Default Where have my old downloads gone?

Yesterday when I started up LW my downloads weren't there. So today I tried again but no success. That means that a whole month of waiting has gone down the drain!

Anyway I can get them back?

Right I checked in the incomplete files tab and their all red. I can't resume because it says they are not valid incomplete files and cannot be resumed!

But a couple of days ago they were! Whats going on??

I haven't added or deleted anything to my pc for ages.

Normally this happens if:
1. Your computer crashes whilst LW is open.
2. You don't close LW properly before shutting down computer.
3. You revert to a much earlier version of LW.
4. You delete the download.dat & bak files in the incomplete folder.

Unfortunately, although you can generally reload the incompletes via the Library window, they will start at 0% no matter what the file size is.

Normal technique to reload is go to Library window, select incomplete, select incomplete files & press Resume button. This will force them back into the downld window.

I don't know why they would be considered as not valid. Unless they were Preview files or something. You didn't mistakenly do point #4 above did you? I've rarely heard of people doing that. If you can't reload them in the manner suggested, then it appears they're of no use. I'm not sure of any answer to this problem.

Thanks for the reply and info. Unfortunately I haven't done any of the things you mentioned.

All I have done to the PC is delete cookies, clear my history and delete temporary internet files. Which of course I have done before whilst running LW without a hitch. However I think it too much of a mere chance that the day I do this, LW stops working properly! Oh well I'll have to start again.

Update. I deleted those downloads that were in red and searched and started to dl them again. They started off from where they were! Cool. Don't understand it myself.
