Hey
my limewire is continually starting up even though i close it. it happens hmm every minute and is slowling down my already very slow connection drastically. I thought it was a virus so i reinstalled the program and still im having problems (i have done this about 3 times) please help |

It's a virus. Uninstalling LW won't remove it. Go to this thread it might help LimeWire continually Popping up & also Opening at System Startup and also WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of!
If you read through the posts you can find what others have done to get rid of it. Good luck.

Ah-huh, well maybe this thread will get me a response.
There is no process to kill when I open up the task manager when following the instructions in the other thread. Reason? |

If you don't have a program taking up around 99% of you CPU usage (except system idle) then maybe you don;t have a virus?

I have all the symptoms of the Limewire-popping-up problem...but nothing to kill.
