being disconnected from the internet

whenever i log into limewire it works fine for awhile and then i get disconnect from the internet. this only happens when i am on limewire downloading stuff. anyone else have this problem or no what may be causing this to happen.
any help would be appreciated.

Hard to say why you are getting disconnected.

For example, it might mean the equipment used to connect has a problem. Some modems (cable, dsl, or others) are pretty sensitive to loads and just shut down. ISP's can sometimes do a line test also.

It might be your computer's ability to handle many concurrent connections. If so, just download one or two files at a time.

thanks for the suggestion i'll try downloading 1 or 2 at a time and see if that helps
