Why does my limewire pause after a few seconds of playing a song??

I have the same problem and my thought is the system resources, since it sucks up quite a few.

If you're both using the LW player, disable it (tools > options > player. Untick 'use LW player' & apply). Make something else your default player & see if the problem is still there

You could disconnect from the internet(so your not vulnerable) shut down all programs except limewire and try playing them. Then you should have plenty of sys res available.

Mine does the same thing,and if you click pause,then play it finishes the song. I'm pretty sure it's just a glitch as I found a thread in another forum on another creative common player (I forget where though) that did the same thing and they said it was the player. Probably both are built around the same code or something.
