Been encountering same problem after d'ling certain files, particularly, avi files. Since windows explorer keeps closing, I simply return to LW shared files folder and delete the file in question there. Problem solved. I originally noticed the problem as I was unable to view a video in the default player (played in fast forward only). So I would use windows explorer shared folder to select a different media player. Cant do that now that windows explorer closes before viewing. Again, simply deleting from LW folder (if that still works) should fix problem. Still looking for a better answer myself to that windows problem.......grrr!

Thats the problem coolkyle342 cant get into LW as it closes down at opening interface and his/her shared folder is freezing as well, so cant delete it from there either....

coolkyle342 may I ask what type of file it was ie movie-program-and such, dont give me the name of the file just what type it was....

Ok....I think I have found what were looking for, because you cannot delete this file through a search and through LW like 0ld_Skool suggested (which is very handy to know)...I've found some info on a way to do it take a look at this link and follow the steps carefully, if you need any help with this let me know...(I will bookmark the site and go through it with you)...
Hopefully this is the answer....:)

I'm confused. There are alot of things on that page. Do I download the ShellEx program? If so, what do I open it with? It's asking what pragram I want to open it with.

Ok I downloaded it myself....
Firstly save it and then open it and then extract files and then run...
The wizard appears...go through those steps....once that is done open it
This is what I got when I opened it (screenshot)

Why don't you start your computer in Safe Mode with Command Prompt and delete the file through DOS. Since it's safe mode, even "stubborn" files/folders/directories will get deleted.
