My dad told me to uninstall Limewire, because there is a chance of getting a virus and if the computer gets a virus, he could lose his job because 90% of it requires our computer. I tried to uninstall it, but I kept getting this error:

From what I understand, it's still trying to load up, though I went through the control pannel to uninstall it. I really need to get rid of this error and get Limewire off my computer. My dad's getting really close to not letting me get on the computer.

The way to uninstall LW is Start > All Progs > LW, click & take the uninstall option. You could try to install a new version (this will automatically uninstall the old one) & then uninstall that one the right way. When you had LW installed before, did you have a problem with it popping up all the time & not staying closed??
Try doing as I suggested, if it doesn't work then try using the computer's search & deleting all LW files. After this, if the message still pops up then it sounds like you have a virus. But don't panic, you can go to Norbiesworld, register & follow the directions for free computer help.

It's really important to scan every file that you download with your AV program before opening!

YES limewire got virus into my computer and it took me a LOT of effort to fix it at last so I strongly disencourage the use of limewire I didn't have problem uninstalling limewire..so perhaps you could try deleting any file with associations to limewire. Deleting it's files will prevent it from loading. There may be times when the files can't be deleted, so what you could do is restart your computer in safe mode and delete them I don't know if it'll work but after I uninstalled limewire my computer is working beautifully - except for a few hangs / freezes at times

I don't mean to be rude, but if you are so against LimeWire and against the use of it, why are you here?

Basically I'm here to help people with Limewire problems, whenever possible. Not everyone here has to like limewire

And that includes posting multiple times telling people not to use it as you did yesterday. lol I couldn't see anything constructive about any of those identical posts. That's hardly helping.

Yea, I can't agree more. I don't think what I'm doing is very constructive as well. But that was only twice, not multiple times, if you would do the math lol but anyway, like I said, I'm outta here, and I guess I'll only come back when I have problems with Limewire - If I ever use it again (which I most probably wouldn't). I shall stop lingering around giving advices that are not constructive and helpful at all - honestly that's just a waste of my time and a waste of you guys' time to read my pointless posts. And since I'm not helping at all, it's up to you guys if you want to take my advice. However I shan't disgrace myself here anymore, anyway
