Blank Screen on 4.12.3

Ok I know this issue has been address before, I've read the other posts but I've tried everything I can find and haven't found a solution!!

I recently downloaded the new LimeWire 4.12.3 and actually went ahead and paid for the PRO because I like LimeWire so much. AFTER I got 4.12.3 I started having problems. LimeWire comes up fine, I can search and start a download, no problem! When I go back to LimeWire after a little bit it just gives me a totally blank screen. Sometimes it's after 15mins and sometimes it takes an 30-45mins. It says LimeWire at the very top and has the minimize and exit things up in the right hand corner but it won't be downloading and it won't let me exit out of the program. I have to do control alt delete or just restart my computer. It's almost like when you try to go to fast on your computer switching between windows that you have open and for a split second the screen is blank....but LimeWire never opens back up it just stays blank.

I've tried removing the java that I have and downloading the newest one and the old one 1.4 or something....neither of those work. I don't play games on my computer so I haven't changed anything on my settings or anything.

I don't know what else to try!! If anyone has a solution please help!! I'm not great with computers so I need very specific directions.

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

Although the blank screen can sometimes be fixed by jumping back to Java 1.4.2, actually Java 1.5 is really required for LW 4.12 or later. Did you check your graphic card settings?
