Hi Ive been using Limewire for about 6 months now and it was detecting a Firewall and I've never had any problems with it. I changed to Norton for anti-virus and Firewall, and now Limewire says it does not detect a Firewall, although the Norton program says it defintely switched on. Is it recommended to use have a firewall running when using Limewire? If so how do i get Limewire to detect it?

You don't want it to detect it. By not seeing the wall in front of the globe it means your firewall is set up properly. Allot of times when LimeWire sees the wall you will not be able to DL anything. If you were seeing the wall before your windows firewall was blocking others from being able to DL from you. And you probably were not getting as good of search results as you could have been.
