When I start up Limewire, two Limewire programs start. I end one of them, the other loads ok up to the pop-up window "upgrade to pro". When I close it, the program stops responding. I have Windows ME and IE 6.

One thing you might try is open LimeWire by right clicking on the desktop icon then choose open. 2 instances of LimeWire opening is caused by rapidly clicking on the desktop icon. Depending on how you have your mouse set up you should only click on the icon once or twice, depending on you settings or open it the way I suggested above.
