I am having a problem that I havent been able to resolve. I am using windows xp media center edition and yes the ms media player. (slave to the man I guess). After downloading the divx codec for some media, my windows explorer would give me an error when trying to open the folder that my downloads go to. The error report from ms gate & co. blamed divx. I went to thier website and submitted by e mail but got no response. It only effects the file where limewire downloads.
Any Ideas? The only solution that has worked is removing the divx programs, doing what I need to re name or re organize files and the re download the codex. what a pain. |

Don't know if you're interested but you could try this player VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) as it has in-built codecs & is generally very reliable. To see what it can do see http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html
BTW have you checked your system over for AV & spyware, etc.? |
