hi i have compaq presario x1000 laptop and for some reason it wont load windows on start i tried instaling windows again and again but still it wont work if anybody knows what might be problem let me know and also i dont have restore disc thank you

you windows repair and then go into the promt and type sfc this will repair files too

im not able to get anywhere where i can type tried safe mode dosent work tried everything i can think of nothing works

from what I read into your posts, I assume you are able to pass POST...is this correct?

also, how knowledgable are you about your BIOS?

and, just for my reference, try this: get into your bios and just let it sit there for a while (if you have a temperature monitor in your bios, go to that screen and let it sit and observe the temp readings..also, see if your HDD is being recognized)
