Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?

Go to LW's Library window, select the Shared folder. Is the avi file red or black. If it's red, right-click it & choose Share.

You can send a file to a friend via a magnet link. How to use Magnet Links & Direct Connect

Interface means main window. Check the bottom of this page for a sample image of what I mean: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...91&postcount=2

Lord of the Rings October 1st, 2006 01:22 PM

Ok that means you have a firewall problem. Can you answer the questions in the link I gave in my last post. Thanks. Then we can find the reason & solution. ;) :)

simon-jordan4life October 1st, 2006 01:22 PM

and the avi text is written in black

Lord of the Rings October 1st, 2006 01:25 PM

Good. Black means it's being shared, red means it's not being shared.
If you can answer me the questions I asked we can solve your problem so you can share the file without problems. ;)
What firewall programs you have & what connection devices you're using are the main questions in this case. Oh & which operating system.

simon-jordan4life October 1st, 2006 01:27 PM

im sorry what else have you asked, yes i have the brick, and yes the txt of avi is black???

simon-jordan4life October 1st, 2006 01:29 PM

sorry i see now i dont no the answer to all three sorry!

Your answers will be here Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link). This is broken up into sections. The 1st section with software firewalls. (If you're using windows XP then you will have an XP firewall.) The 2nd section with enabling UPnP on your connection device. The 3rd section with forwarding a port (opening a port for uploading.)

Go to your control panels to find XP firewall. You may need to follow the wires from your computer to find your connection device & find what brand it is.
