music won't play

windows, dsl, limewire, wont let me play music. the songs download but when i launch them nothing happens. what could be the problem? When I fisrt downloaded limewire a notice came up that said something about itunes, but i went into options like it said and did as it said but still nothing.

my limewire is doing the same thing did u find out how to get it to play??

If you're using the LW player, disable it (tools > options > player). Make something else your default player, see if things work then.

yes i've tryed that already and still nothing. i dont know what to do now

if i uninstalled, and re-downloaded limewire would the music play then??

Did you try a couple of different players, just to be sure? Which one(s)?
Does CD playback work? What about sound in general...any problems?

You said you'd tried disabling the LW player & using something else & that that didn't work. If you're having problems with another player as well, it's probably not just a LW problem.

If it's just certain songs that won't play, try downloading another version of the file...you might have downloaded a bad file originally. If all music won't play on LW's player and other players, it's another issue.

i just downloaded limewire two hours ago cause frostwire wouldnt work. didnt have a connection. now i have a connection and the music did play for a while, then now when i click launch nothing will play.. its making me frustrated. i tryed windows media player, it would play but there wasnt any sound. my speakers are turned on. cd playback works

i was listening to a song and searching at the same time.. i paused my song cause it skips when im searching.. i pushed play when i was finished searching and it didnt play,tried other songs and still nothing.. i didnt move any files, they are all showing in my library but i did delete the song that i paused becuz i thought that it might be the problem. the player says Limewire Media Player. as i said, when i click launch nothing happens at all!!!
